2002 Scholar
Dr. Chad Miller, joined the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University in January 2023, after working at Kansas State University for 12 years. He received his BS in horticulture at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and both his MS and PhD in horticulture from Cornell University.
Chad received one of the first symposium grants for the 2002 PPA Symposium. He learned about PPA and it was recommended that he apply for the scholarship from his undergraduate advisor, Dr. Terry Ferriss. After receiving the scholarship and attending the symposium, he has maintained a strong connection to the organization. Once he became a faculty member, he made a point to help identify students, like his advisor did, to get them to engage with the PPA.
