2005 Scholar
Mary Jane Clark was awarded the PPF Scholarship as an undergraduate student in the Plant Biology Program at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. She continued her studies at Guelph, completing a master’s degree in perennial breeding and a Landscape Design Certificate. Mary Jane worked in the Toronto landscape industry before contributing to research projects on green roof technology at the University of Guelph, and nursery production systems at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre.
Since 2016, she has aimed to inspire horticulture students, and share her passion for plants, as a Professor of Horticulture at Niagara College, Ontario, Canada. As a PPF scholar, Mary Jane was grateful to meet industry professionals who have continued to support her in her career. To pass along this blessing, she encourages her students to also join the Perennial Plant Association.
